The Cincinnati Art Museums’ Colonial and Federal period gallery
Decorative arts collection is owned and operated by the Ohio Society of the NSCDA, being established in 1952

The Ohio Society owns The NSCDA Ohio Gallery which is a Colonial and Federal period decorative arts collection at the Cincinnati Art Museum, established in 1952. It was renovated and expanded in 2013 and now also includes an oil on copper painting by John Singleton Copley as well as Colonial era paintings and objects from the Art Museum's own collection. The Ohio Society's education outreach and lecture & tea, held annually since 1972, are supported by the Alter Trust created by Mrs. Ruth Shippen Alter, a past president of NSCDA Ohio.
The collection will be receiving a 'refresh' from the Cincinnati Art Museum in the coming year. Updates to be added as we know more.
